Book Rustic Weddings indexes every rustic wedding venue in America: barns, farms, ranches, vineyards, orchards, estates, lodges and gardens. Whether a venue pays us has no bearing on whether it appears.
Why we built it
The large wedding marketplaces charge venues a monthly fee to be listed. If a venue does not pay, couples do not see it. The result is that the list you are handed is not the list of venues near you, it is the list of venues near you with an active subscription, and the small family-run barn down the road is invisible.
We index from public sources instead, and let owners claim and correct their listing for nothing. Featured placement is the product. Existing is not.
Where the data comes from
Open mapping data, public registries and venues' own websites, verified before anything is published. Every listing shows only what we can stand behind, and owners can fix or remove theirs at any time.
About the photography
Almost every image on this site is generated artwork rather than photography of the venue. That is deliberate. Wedding photographs belong to the venue or, more often, to the photographer who shot them, and lifting those images into a commercial directory is not something we are willing to do. When a venue claims its listing it can upload its own photographs, and that upload is where permission is granted. It is also why claimed listings look better than unclaimed ones.
For couples
Free, no account, no form standing between you and a venue's details. You are the reason venues want to be here, and putting a wall in front of you would defeat the point.
